Dr. Scruggs is a proud United ISD alumna, graduating from United South High School in 2010. 

Attended Texas A&M International University earning a Bachelor Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (2014), a Masters Degree in 

Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis on Reading and Educational Administration (2017). Most recently attained a 

Doctor of Education degree from the University of New England (2022).

I have been with the United Independent School District at a variety of capacities, including as a teacher assistant, classroom teacher, and now as an assistant principal. I started in the field of education approximately seven years ago. This is my fourth year at Dr. Henry Cuellar Elementary School and second year as a campus administrator. 

I refer to myself as a “Reader of all the Things”, but my favorite genres are horror and fantasy. Aside from literature I enjoy all things Marvel, as well as video games, Funko Pops, and movies ranging from Lord of the Rings to Disney. I enjoy painting and drawing, as well as baking and exercising. My favorite things to do are read with my daughters, Aislin and Ruby, as well as spend time with my husband, Anthony. I’m also known for decorating for every holiday you can think of and celebrating the growth and progress in our students!
